Weston Works Owner Richard to Tackle Variety 4WD Adventure Challenge
Share

From March 1 to March 8, 2025, Richard and the Weston Works team will be driving for the Variety 4WD Adventure, a seven-day journey that will take him through some of Australia's most stunning national parks. As part of the challenge, Richard will be unearthing secret treasures in the bush and raising funds for Variety, the Children's Charity and helping children in need who are facing serious hardship.
The Variety 4WD Adventure has become a complete must-attend for anybody who adores the excitement of an adrenaline rush and the possibility of contributing back to their community. With this being the 20th anniversary of the event, it will be a very special occasion. Being a charity-based expedition, the event involves driving along six stunning national parks, including Deua, Brindabella, Blue Mountains, Abercrombie River, and more, while raising much-needed finances to assist sick, disadvantaged and special-needs children.
A Personal Challenge with a Greater Purpose
For Richard, joining the Variety 4WD Adventure is not for a personal challenge; it's for donating to a good cause. You can follow his adventure on Instagram @westonworks or Facebook @Westonworks.
Weston Works has an established history of donating to communities in need, and this challenge is an excellent choice for the level of commitment Richard wishes to give back. The adventure will be one of a kind, but more rewarding is that the money raised will directly go to supporting disadvantaged children.
The event registration fee entails a minimum fundraising commitment of at least $3,500 per vehicle that Richard is committed to and will exceed. The funds raised will support a variety of programs that help children overcome challenges and reach their full potential. From providing medical equipment to helping provide access to therapy, Variety has a huge impact on the life of a child who most needs it.
The Journey Ahead
Richard's odyssey commences on Saturday, 1 March, with a meet-and-greet dinner at Malua Bay. During the week, Richard and his friends will journey through rugged country, visit distant places, and be surrounded by the sheer beauty of the Australian wilderness. Each day is a new and testing experience, ranging from strolling through the old gold mining town of Captains Flat to tramping through the world-renowned Bridle Track of Hill End.
Among the highlights of the trip is a tour of Abercrombie River National Park, an animal sanctuary. On the last day, Richard will also get a chance to explore the history of Blue Mountains National Park and the World Heritage-listed landscapes of Katoomba. To Richard, these are not adventures but a way to connect with the land, create memories, and show his support for positive change. Richard will be of course using the RollerCam, Roperoller and Panoz products on his adventure!
How the Community Can Support Richard?
