Cooka Big Kahuna Kit

The whole Cooka range, in one box. The Big Kahuna Kit is for the camp cook who wants every tool on hand: the stoves, the wind shield, the prep gear, the pan tools, the gloves and the clean-up. If it's in the Cooka camp kitchen, it's in here.

It's built around the 230g Cooka Titanium Stove. Burn twigs when there's dry wood around, or drop in the Burn'a and cook on metho when there isn't. It's gas-ready too: the kit includes the butane adaptor, so add the Firebox Gas Burner and you can cook on the same butane cans you'd buy at any servo. Then everything else you need to prep, cook, serve and clean up, plus a sharpener to keep the knife keen trip after trip.

Why it's the Big Kahuna

• Two ways to cook, and a third ready to go. The Titanium Stove runs on twigs, wood pellets, charcoal or heat beads. The Burn'a runs on methylated spirits and comes with its own pot stand, flame adjuster, screw-on lid and carry bag.
• Gas-ready, with an adaptor that actually fits. The Firebox Butane Burner Adaptor connects the common Aussie bayonet butane cartridge to the Firebox Gas Burner (sold separately), which fits the Titanium Stove. That gives you three fuels from one stove: twigs, metho and gas. We've tested this adaptor for a proper, safe fit, unlike the $9 lookalikes online that leak or don't seat. Stainless steel legs stop the can rolling, and the bright silver finish is easy to find in the dark.
• Cooks when it's blowing. The Wind Stop'a keeps the breeze off the flame, so you cook faster and burn less fuel. The Frisbee Fire Fan gets a slow fire going, then keeps the flies off your food.
• Hands off the heat. The Heat Resistant Gloves have six layers of protection and long sleeves that cover your wrists and forearms. Move a hot pot or shift the coals without flinching.
• A proper prep station. The Chop'a chopping board, the Cut'a paring knife and the Sharpen'a, so the blade stays sharp all trip.
• Tools for the pan. The Titanium Tongs are 1.5mm solid titanium, three times thicker than most, and handle hot food and coals. The Spatula gets under eggs and fish cleanly.
• Clean-up sorted. The Wash'a is a stainless steel mesh scrubber that cleans camp cookware fast and hygienically. It's surprisingly gentle on your pans, and brutal on the burnt-on scraps left after cooking.
• Light it, then relax. The Light'a lives in the kit, and the Cool'a keeps your drink cold while dinner's on.
